Fixed-wireless offers promise of early 5G revenues as operators work on business case

Thursday 24 October 2019 | 10:18 CET | Author: Marion ter Welle | Background
T-Mobile Czech expects around 10-15 percent of the fixed broadband market in the Czech Republic could become 5G FWA customers. T-Mobile already offers a fixed-wireless service over 4G, and noted that just two percent of customers generate 80 percent of the FWA traffic. The increased bandwidth available over 5G may make this less of an issue, but it remains a matter to deal with as the service grows.
