Last week in telecoms: fibre moves forward in Germany and UK, mobile data growth still high and court finally rules on zero-rated data

Deutsche Telekom is committing to the German fibre market, while France's Bouygues and Spain's Telefonica are involved in new fibre initiatives in the UK. The latest Ericsson Mobility Report shows growth in mobile data traffic remains high, at 44 percent. The Dutch 5G auction was delayed again, and the EU courts finally weighed in on zero-rated mobile data offers.
