Last week in telecoms: fibre news in Germany and Italy, new products from Qualcomm and Amazon

Amazon and Qualcomm held events last week to present new products and services. Amazon is positioning AWS more as a supplier in the telecom market, while Qualcomm is expanding to more types of device makers. Meta Platforms (previously Facebook) issued a report on how it handles different forms of disinformation, while Twitter made a contribution to protecting privacy. In Brussels, the EU Data Governance Act and AI Act took another step towards approval.
