Last week in telecoms: no forced supply for Liberty Media F1 rights, ACM starts new market analysis to test access rules

Monday 12 July 2021 | 12:11 CET | Author: Tim Poulus | Background
Liberty Media showed this week it's not always good business to keep things in-house, and got an upgrade from Moody's as its reward. In regulatory news, the Dutch watchdog ACM is having another look at the fixed market to see if wholesale access on the KPN and Ziggo networks needs regulating. There were also several new announcements on the opportunities 5G is bringing to the market, from standalone networks in the 700 MHz band to greater use of the 26 GHz band and Qualcomm's own smartphone.
