Last week in telecoms: Orange faces off Polygon, Tele Columbus and Orange Poland find fibre investors

Mobile data traffic worldwide grew by 38 percent last year, according to a Finnish research bureau, and data from Ookla shows internet speeds continued to increase in March. Orange ran up against opposition to its offer to buy out Orange Belgium's minority shareholders, while Tele Columbus and Orange Poland moved ahead with plans to convert their networks to fibre. Netflix got an upgrade in its credit rating, and Amazon Prime passed 200 million subscribers.
