Last week in telecoms: Sky wants entire chain with smart TV, SKO reports wide decrease in use of living room TV

UK satellite provider Sky is launching a smart TV, giving it control over the entire value chain. The company wants to sell the technology worldwide. The message comes at the same time as the September report of the Dutch ratings agency SKO, which shows a large year-on-year decline in the use of living room television in the Netherlands. WarnerMedia announced the expansion of HBO Max to an additional seven countries, including the Netherlands. Ziggo lost its rights as a result. HBO Max could cost 9 EUR per month in the Netherlands.
