Last week in telecoms: strategy updates, co-investment and smart cities

After the annual results, come the analyst meetings, with several strategy updates in the past week. TIM, Akamai, Twitter, Snap and Spotify were among the companies updating investors. In other news, Telefonica invited investors in its fibre networks in Chile and Brazil, Polkomtel was the latest mobile operator to sell off its towers, and ViacomCBS unveiled more details of its new streaming service Paramount+. We also noted several new announcements of smart city projects, from Japan to Las Vegas.
