Last week in telecoms: T-Mobile US tries 5G FWA, Telefonica and TIM bring in fibre investors in Brazil

The 5G event by the 'un-carrier' T-Mobile US attracted our attention this past week. In addition, there were interesting service innovations at some of the big internet platforms, with a clear focus on business users. Among the telcos, cooperation is the key word for Telefonica and TIM, as they signed up new investors for fibre expansion in Brazil. In Luxembourg, the mmWave auction was postponed due to lack of interest, which may be a worrying sign for the 5G market.
