M-payment in the US will be in transition for years to come

The year 2016 will be another transitional one for mobile payments in the US. As the mag stripe gets retired, several groups in the greater payments ecosystem are readying competing services. Apple, Samsung and Google will have to compete with each other and with non-card based schemes that challenge the credit card. The face of payment will change, but the direction is not yet clear.
