Mobile payment is catching on in the Netherlands, albeit slowly

Mobile payment is nearing maturity in the Dutch market. A smartphone can already be used in small scale deployments at point of sale in shops or restaurants, but national roll outs are underway. Consumer awareness is also on the rise, the Telecompaper Consumer Panel shows.
