Mobile payment to become the norm in the Netherlands

According to speakers and participants of the recent congress on the future of payments (Toekomst van het Betalingsverkeer), mobile payments will become the common method of payment in the Netherlands. They believe that in the near future the majority of consumers will (want to) pay via his/her mobile phone. However, there was no consensus on which players would become the dominant ones, nor on the question if cash would survive or not.
