MVNOs to put pressure on Austrian MNO's prepaid segment

The three Austrian mobile operators A1, T-Mobile Austria and 3 Austria have been able to curb their service revenue losses (ongoing since the third quarter of 2013) due to lower MTA fees which became active on 1 November 2013. According to data from Telecompaper's semi-annual Austrian Mobile Operators report, total service revenues grew by EUR 1 million compared to Q4 2013, to EUR 598 million. At the same time, the total SIMs decreased to end December 2014 with 13.05 million. Five new MVNOs have entered or will enter the market which is expected to make the market slightly livelier,
