Network upgrades far from over

The infrastructure market remains highly dynamic. There is little consensus, apart from the general belief that fibre optics are the ultimate medium, for long-haul networks as well as (mobile) backhaul, middle mile and last-mile (access) networks. Still, the continued development of competing types of infrastructure is far from over, and in recent months the trend even appears to be accelerating.
