Ofcom may turn to legal separation of Openreach for increased FTTP spend

Ofcom recently presented its interim conclusions regarding its 'Strategic Review of Digital Communications'. It follows the 2005 review, which led to the creation of Openreach as a functionally separate unit of BT. The review was launched in March of 2015 and will be finalised during the remainder of 2016. The focus is on fixed-line communications, but mobile broadband is discussed as well.
