Open cable regulation set to change Dutch market in time

Open cable networks are the new reality in the Netherlands, after the latest wholesale broadband regulations took effect 01 October. It's now only a matter of time before the first cable reseller launches on the market. YouCa has already expressed interest, and it can be expected that Delta/CAIW also will look at offering services over the VodafoneZiggo network. VodafoneZiggo is appealing the regulation, but this is likely just a delaying tactic. Once the legal options have run out, the company may embrace the wholesale business as part of a strategy to maximise its network and present a
