Orange outperforms in contracting Belgian mobile market in Q2 2018

Total service revenues in Belgium declined by 2.8 percent year-on-year in Q2, according to the latest quarterly update from Telecompaper. The prepaid revenues were over a third less than a year ago, dropping by 38 percent to EUR 43 million. As in Q1 2018, Telenet showed the worst performance of the three operators. Orange and one of the country's largest MVNOs, Mobile Vikings, have pledged not to raise prices this year, while Telenet increased its prices in July 2018. This may help Telenet grow revenues from the second half of the year, but it could also make the other operators more
