Samsung expands Samsung Wallet, SDKs

Samsung Electronics has announced that fourteen new retailers will offer products through Samsung Wallet. The mobile app can store tickets, boarding passes and other access permits, reservations and coupons on the mobile phone, across several industries, including transportation, coupons and hospitality. Some of these functionalities compete directly with Google services, like Google Wallet or Google Offers. The move can be seen as a further step from Samsung to distance themselves from the Android ecosystem in general.
