Spanish mobile market held back by LTE delay; fixed-mobile offerings provide a boost

Our recent article showed the Spanish mobile market is under pressure, with mobile service revenues down 11 percent in 2012. In addition to analysing the KPIs on the market (see Excel sheet for more information), we looked at the latest market trends that may be affecting revenues. One of the most important issues hampering further development is the lack of commercial LTE services, despite operators already acquiring spectrum licences back in 2011.
