Swiss market Q2: Swisscom and Sunrise focus on bundling, UPC customer losses accelerate, Salt focuses on costs

Thursday 30 August 2018 | 09:53 CET | Author: Tim Poulus | Background
The big four operators on the Swiss market reported a combined revenue drop of 1.2 percent in Q2 2018. Profitability grew, both sequentially and year-on-year. Capex investments were up, while free cash flow remained at a decent level of 21 percent of revenues. Sunrise and Salt managed to grow their revenues. Sunrise's free cash flow generation is significantly lower than Swisscom's and especially UPC's, but Salt's is close to UPC's, testament of a very sound cost base.
