Traditional telephony versus OTT VoIP: the role of All-IP, termination fees and RLAH

With all the focus on all-IP, one could almost forget that traditionally telephony still plays a role in many people's lives. Usage is increasing. The arrival of 'roam like at home' (RLAH) in the EU will stimulate usage further and undermine the business case for competing OTT-VoIP apps. In a world of all-IP networks, like LTE, termination fees appear outdated and telephony should be free. This is all driving apps such as Viber and Skype to develop their services further.
