Vodafone may succeed in cable where Liberty fails

Tuesday 9 December 2014 | 14:37 CET | Author: Tim Poulus | Background
A wave of consolidation is sweeping the European telecom market. BT's plans to re-enter the UK mobile market have opened up a number of scenarios and no one wants to miss out on a deal. In addition to BT, also EE, O2 UK, 3 UK, Sky and TalkTalk are among the possible players. Vodafone is also part of the rumours, including a possible bid by the mobile operator for Liberty Global, owner of UK cable operator Virgin Media.
