Weekly news summary: KPN, Proximus, TIM moved ahead with fibre plans, Orange launches 5G in France, Luxembourg

Major corporate news in the past week included KPN's strategy update, which looked much like its previous plan, rumours about a Masmovil tie-up with Vodafone in Spain and Google eyeing up an Indian TikTok look-alike. Proximus and Telecom Italia moved ahead with their FTTH expansion plans, securing new partnerships, and new 5G networks were launched in France, Luxembourg and Bulgaria. Slovakia meanwhile completed its 5G auction, and the EU approved Wi-Fi in the 6 GHz band.
