Proximus Pickx to attract interest from other operators as broadcaster role undermined

Tuesday 2 July 2019 | 14:31 CET | Author: Tim Poulus | Market Commentary
Proximus has taken a notable step with the launch of a new user interface for its TV service. Pickx looks to be very consumer-friendly, helping to make Proximus an unavoidable link in the value chain. The broadcasters are not happy, as the platform groups content by genre rather than channel, weakening their position. Proximus' efforts deserve attention, and should drive the broadcasters to accelerate their OTT strategies.
