25% of German web users blocked from watching videos

Almost one quarter (23%) of German internet users have been unable to watch a video online due to geoblocking, according to Bitkom Research. Two thirds (66%) of affected internet users have been blocked from watching films and almost half (47%) from watching music videos online. A further 10 percent have been blocked from watching entertainment shows, 8 percent from watching sport and 7 percent from watching TV series.
