3 Hong Kong starts selling Jolla smartphone
3 Hong Kong, the mobile division of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong, has started to sell smartphones manufactured by Finnish company Jolla. The device features the Sailfish OS and will retail for HKD 2,888. It supports LTE and Android applications.

Jolla launches first tablet in crowdfunding campaign

Jolla has started a fundraising drive on IndieGogo to launch its first tablet. Running version 2.0 of Jolla's Sailfish OS, the tablet will feature a 7.85-inch display, 1.8 GHz Intel processor, 2GB memory, a 2 megapixel front camera and 5 megapixel back camera. Within a couple hours of starting the crowdfunding campaign, Jolla sold out the initial batch of 1,000 tablets, offered for USD 189 each. It aims to deliver the first devices in May 2015. Jolla starts smartphone sales in Russia

Company Jolla has stared pre-sales for its smartphone based on the Sailfish OS in Russia. The device is priced at RUB 19,990, with the changeable panels costing RUB 2,380. Customers can order online at shop.jolla.ru, and deliveries are expected to start at the end of November. The device features a 4.5-inch screen, 8 megapixel main camera, 2 megapixel front camera and dual-core Qualcomm 1.4 GHz processor.

Jolla expands to Hong Kong

Jolla, maker of the Sailfish OS, is expanding into new markets. The company has opened a shop in Kazakhstan, plans to launch in India in August and has agreed sales with operator 3 Hong Kong. The store in Almaty opened on 25 July, and the Jolla phone will go on sale in Hong Kong 12 August.

Finnish company Jolla has started selling smartphones in Kazakhstan under the Jolla brand, together with Mobile Invest, reports Total.kz. The device features the MeeGo OS and will retail for EUR 249.
