3 UK ads for BT spectrum caps deemed misleading

Monday 12 February 2018 | 18:11 CET | News
The 'Make the Air Fair' ad campaign run by 3 UK, TalkTalk and other operators in late 2016 calling for consumers to oppose Ofcom's proposed spectrum auction conditions has been deemed misleading by the UK Advertising Standards Authority. The online and regional press ads suggested they were paid for by a consumer, rather than industry group, and also overstated BT/EE's impact on the industry, according to the ruling.
