3 UK CEO wants Ofcom to limit BT, Vodafone spectrum

3 UK CEO Dave Dyson has called on regulator Ofcom to protect his company from larger rivals BT and Vodafone, TechWeek Europe reports. Speaking to the Financial Times newspaper, Dyson called on Ofcom to reserve spectrum at the next major auction of airwaves for a 4th mobile network operator. He warned that BT subsidiary EE and Vodafone could outbid 3 UK for spectrum, further damaging the smaller operator's ability to compete after EU regulators blocked its merger with O2 UK. He suggested that BT/EE and Vodafone should be restricted to force to give up spectrum they already hold before being
