3 UK, CityFibre respond to Ofcom Openreach proposals

3 UK has responded to Ofcom's Openreach ruling, saying it was disappointed that the regulator fell short of structurally separating BT. In a statement, the mobile operator said that structural separation was the only step that would have delivered genuine competition and prevented BT from favouring itself. It added that UK regulators had again failed to stand up to BT after the Competition & Markets Authority (CMA) approved its merger with EE without any caution following advice from Ofcom.
