3 UK to legally challenge 5G spectrum auction rules

Friday 11 August 2017 | 09:55 CET | News
3 UK has delivered a letter to Ofcom signalling its intention to launch a High Court challenge to the rules of the forthcoming mobile spectrum auction, reports The Telegraph. 3 UK wants Ofcom to change the rules more in its favour, arguing that UK mobile competition is damaged by BT and Vodafone's dominance of airwaves. After blocking its attempt to merge with O2, 3 UK believes that Ofcom must use the auction to rebalance the market.
