5G subscriptions to reach 24 mln by end 2021 - study

Following the launch of 5G commercial services in 2020, Ovum expects there to be 24 million 5G subscriptions worldwide by the end of 2021 for mobile and fixed broadband services. North America and Asia will each account for over 40 percent of global 5G subscriptions at the end of 2021, followed by Europe with more than 10 percent, and the Middle East and Africa taking the rest.
