5G to push mobile broadband speeds to 10Gbps - Alierta

Telefonica chairman Cesar Alierta has predicted that the arrival of 5G will create dizzying mobile connection speeds of 10 Gbps and a market of 50 billion connected things. "With everyone and everything connected, with the foundation of excellent connectivity, services of the future are limitless. And facilitating these connections, through connectivity, is the core of our business," said Alierta at the launch of Telefonica's 2020 strategic plan.
