A1 considers introducing short time work, meeting opposition from employee representatives

Austrian operator A1 is considering introducing short-time work due to the Covid-19 crisis, but the works council rejects the idea, Austria Presse Agentur (APA) reports. The chairman of the works council said that workers will not accept short time working. A1 is currently considering different options to contain the consequences of the Covid-19 crisis. It has not made a decision yet, nor an application for short-time work, company spokesperson Michael Hofler told APA.
