Belarusian mobile operator A1, previously called Velcom, is offering customers the option of trying out eSIMs. A1 claims that it is the first operator in the country to offer such technology. Devices supporting eSIMS, which are now available in Belarus, include the Apple iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPad Pro 11, iPad Pro 12.9 iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini.

Subscribers can activate the eSIMs in A1 shop branches or purchase devices with activated eSIMs from its online shop.

The operator has also introduced the white-label smartphone A1 Alfa. The device has a 6.26-inch screen, a double main camera with 13 megapixel and 2 megapixel modules and 64 GB internal memory. The phone has been designed by ZTE for A1 Telekom Austria group.

Subscribers of A1 can buy the device for BYN 199. It is also available on instalments under a 30-month contract at BYN 9.90 monthly.
