Abu Dhabi fund in talks with KKR to invest in TIM's FiberCop project - report

Infinity Investments, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), is in discussions with US firm KKR Infrastructure to invest in the last-mile fibre and copper grid company of Telecom Italia (TIM), according to three unnamed sources cited by Reuters. TIM currently holds 58 percent of the company, dubbed FiberCop, with KKR Infrastructure having acquired 37.5 percent earlier this year in a deal that was conditionally cleared by the Italian government last month. KKR now wants to sell up to 30 percent of the unit that will hold its stake to Infinity Investments, said the sources,
