Acer, Lenovo to unveil Wintel-based tablet PCs in Q3

Acer and Lenovo are set to launch table PCs based on Microsoft's Windows 8 and Intel's Clover Trail platform in the third quarter this year, writes Digitimes citing sources from the upstream supply chain. Intel is set to unveil its Medfield processor, designed for Android-based smartphones and tablet PCs, in the first half. The sources believe Wintel-based tablet PCs will have potential in the enterprise market where users have demand for Microsoft-developed applications.
