Acer shows Iconia tablets, smartphone at MWC

Acer is showing its Iconia tablets at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Iconia A100 and A500 run Android 3.0 Honeycomb and a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. The Iconia W500 runs an AMD C-50 processor and the Windows 7 OS. The company also showed the Acer Iconia Smart, a cross between a smartphone and a tablet, with a 4.8-inch screen and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Iconia Smart has an 8 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel camera on the front for video calls. The Iconia Smart is expected to launch in May in Europe for around EUR 500.
