ACM confirms deregulation of fixed telephony market

Dutch regulator ACM has confirmed its decision on the fixed telephony market, after no comments from the European Commission. This means much of the the fixed telephony market will be deregulated. KPN will only remain regulated in the small business market, for customers with 2-12 lines, where it still has a significant market share. The incumbent is subject to obligations in terms of access, transparency and non-discrimination, while price regulations have been reduced. On the consumer and large business markets, the ACM decided that KPN faces enough competition to withdraw the previous
