ACM rejects Tele2 request for TV market analysis

Wednesday 18 March 2015 | 15:12 CET | News
Dutch regulator ACM has rejected a request from Tele2 to conduct a formal analysis of the retail TV market. In 2011, ACM's predecessor Opta conducted a review of the market, looking at the prospects for future development. It concluded that given the highly dynamic nature of the market, a cautious approach to regulation is warranted. In its market analyses issued in 2011, TV was not included for the first time. The ACM said the developments since then support its stance in 2011. It does not expect the situation to change soon and sees no need to consider regulation on the TV market.
