ACM starts new investigation of T-Mobile zero rating

Friday 19 May 2017 | 10:15 CET | News
Dutch regulator ACM has started a new investigation into T-Mobile Netherlands' zero-rated music streaming offer, a spokesman confirmed to Telecompaper. This time it will not assess the offer base on Dutch net neutrality legislation, but according to the EU's net neutrality rules. The ACM earlier tried to block T-Mobile from offering the service, but lost a court appeal by T-Mobile when the judge said the EU law should prevail over the Dutch legislation. The ACM has not yet said whether it will appeal the ruling.
