ACM to continue business copper regulation, drop fibre

Dutch regulator ACM has proposed continuing regulation of KPN's business broadband services on its copper network. In a draft decision, the ACM said the decision will ensure alternative operators can still buy the wholesale services from KPN in order to provide high-quality services to businesses and maintain competition in the market. The draft decision is open for public comment until 23 September. The ACM did decide to end regulation of the so-called Lite copper services over Ethernet, as many businesses are increasingly turning to consumer products for this type of service. In addition,
