ACM wants to better protect self-employed against unfair trade practices

Dutch regulator ACM has published its annual report for 2018, estimating the social benefits of supervision at EUR 880 million. The benefits generally come from the general competitive climate in the Netherlands and enforcement in markets under supervision. As an example, the regulator said it last year fought against the abuse of consumers in the digital economy and tackled wrong practices in the bill collection sector.
