AdBlock Plus wins German court decision

Germany's Eyeo, which administers AdBlock Plus, has won a court decision in Hamburg, Germany, where it was being sued by the owners of Die Zeit and Handelsblatt newspapers claiming that the ad blocking software was anti-competitive and a threat to their ability to make money. Seeking injunctive relief, the lawsuit charged that AdBlock Plus should not be allowed to block ads on websites owned by the plaintiffs. The publishers will appeal. They said in a joint statement, "We are still convinced that AdBlock Plus in an illegal and anti-competitive practice." AdBlock project manager Ben Williams
