Africell exceeds 2 mln mobile users in Gambia, Sierra Leone

Lintel Holding said it has exceeded 2 million active subscribers at its two mobile subsidiaries, Africell Gambia and Africell Sierra Leone. The two operations are leaders in their markets, enjoying more than 60 percent market shares in each territory. Africell is capitalising on this predominant positioning by launching 3G services in both countries, which will create new revenue streams through the introduction of various data-based services. In 2011, the group is expected to achieve EBITDA of around USD 40 million with an EBIDTA margin of 41 percent and is set to launch a third African
