Air France-KLM to consider European Aviation Network

Tuesday 6 December 2016 | 11:06 CET | News
Air France-KLM is considering the new European Aviation Network to boost its offering of in-flight broadband services. Other options are also under consideration, the company told Telecompaper. The EAN, based on a LTE ground network and satellite, has just completed its first successful test and is expected to start service next year. IAG, the owner of BA and Iberia, is the first customer for the services. Air France-KLM already offers in-flight broadband, working with Panasonic and AirFi, among others.
