Airtel increases mobile tariffs in India

Monday 22 November 2021 | 09:50 CET | News
Indian mobile operator Airtel has increased its prepay mobile tariffs. The operator reports that mobile ARPU should reach INR 200 and ultimately INR 300, "so as to provide a reasonable return on capital that allows for a financially healthy business model". Airtel also believes that this level of ARPU "will enable the substantial investments required in networks and spectrum", and will also help Airtel roll out 5G services across India.
