Airtel invests USD 550 million in DRC

Airtel has invested USD 150 million more than the USD 400 million budgeted for 2011-2014 in improving its network in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), according to managing director Louis Lubala. He said the USD 550 million investment enabled technical upgrades and connection to the international fibre network for the company's 10 million subscribers.
