Airtel Kenya says it has decided to remove all its transaction fees so that people can send and receive money for free on its Airtel Money platform. This follows a meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya Patrick Njoroge, who brought together all the industry players on 16 March to discuss the outbreak of Covid-19 in Kenya. Airtel said from 17 March, Airtel Kenya will waive all P2P transaction fees for Airtel Money customers for the next 90 days.
