Airtel meets with Uganda president, asks for more spectrum

The officials also requested the President to support their quest for additional spectrum, particularly in the 800/900 MHz, to drive 4G penetration, which Museveni agreed to, Airtel said in a statement. The president also thanked the company for its investments, tax compliance and contribution to the country's economic growth. Airtel Uganda contributed over UGX 500 billion in tax in 2018.
