Airtel pays INR 15 billion to clear deferred liabilities for spectrum acquired in 2014

Indian operator Bharti Airtel reports it has paid nearly INR 155.2 bilion to the Department of Telecom (Government of India) towards prepayment of the entire deferred liabilities relate to spectrum acquired in an auction held by the government in 2014. The company acquired 128.4 MHz spectrum (including Telenor spectrum) for INR 190.51 billion in the 2014 auction.
