Airtel secures Niger's first LTE licence

The government of Niger has awarded the country's first LTE licence to the local subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, Celtel Niger, operating under the Airtel brand, reports Agence Ecofin. The company has emerged as the winner of an award procedure open to Niger's four mobile networks.
